by | May 13, 2025 | Events

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

The Brightstar Group is marking and supporting Mental Health Awareness Week on 12th-18th May, continuing to raise awareness and encourage openness across the business around the issue of mental health.  In 2025 the theme isCommunity’ and therefore focuses on the power and importance of community.

Brightstar Group Community Action Project

During MHAW 2025 we are proud to be launching the ‘Brightstar Group Community ActionProject’, which invites all team members to sign up for a community project during one day of the working year. Aligned perfectly with our recently launched ESG report and our goals for 2025, the ‘Brightstar Group Community Action Project’ replaces our usual ‘Company Charity’ initiative and encourages all team members to give to give their time and commitment to the local community.

Everyone will be able to help with a variety of projects including:

Supporting the elderly
Supporting local schools and young people
Supporting charities and organisations who work with animals and wildlife
Working in charity shops
Helping at the local Food Bank
Keeping the local area clean and tidy through litter picking and maintenance projects
Helping to enhance our local environment through gardening/environmental projects

The Benefits of Community Projects

Supporting our community

Providing support through action days helps others in the community in a multitude of ways. Whether directly interacting with those in our community or helping others who help others, we are ‘making a difference’ to the locality and environment.

Personal benefits

Participating in community projects and ‘giving back’ promotes a sense of self-accomplishment and is a positive experience which enhances self-worth and well-being

Team building

Working in teams helps to build camaraderie, encourages conversation and builds relationships between colleagues
