Community Projects at our local Food Bank

by | Jul 8, 2025 | Events

Brightstars’ Community Action Projects are underway! Our seventh volunteer has been out in the community at our local food bank, lending his time & support for the benefit of others. This is all part of our Groups’ ESG Plan – and a development from Mental Health Awareness Week 2025. In this report, Lewis Seethiah shares his insights into his day of volunteering.

Lewis Seethiah, Team Administrator

“Throughout the day the I was helping with jobs like quality checking food, looking at stock levels, handing out and preparing food parcels. I also had the opportunity to do food pickups which was an insight in how generous people in the area have been. It was interesting seeing how the community has come together to start a food bank that help over 100 clients in the Billericay area. I am happy to have helped at the food bank as it was an eye opener what these charities mean to a community and why they are vital for the people who need them.”
