Community Projects at our local Food Bank

by | Jul 23, 2025 | Events

Brightstars’ Community Action Projects are underway! Our 13th volunteer has been out in the community at our local food bank, lending his time & support for the benefit of others. This is all part of our Groups’ ESG Plan – and a development from Mental Health Awareness Week 2025. In his report Thomas Altman shares his insights into his day of volunteering.

Thomas Altman, Completions Officer

“While volunteering at the food bank, I helped prepare and package food parcels for families in need. Once the parcels were ready, families arrived to collect them, and it was rewarding to see our efforts make a direct impact. I also gained a better understanding of how the food bank operates behind the scenes from organising donations.

The experience gave me a deeper appreciation for the vital role food banks play in supporting the community.”
