  • Social Media Training.

The whole People Development Programme ensures that team members are supported appropriately for their career stage and the role that they perform, while also ensuring they are fully prepared and appropriately skilled to meet their personal career aspirations and future roles.

Professional Development Portfolio.

All team members keep a Professional Development Portfolio. This is an evolving document which focuses on contribution and achievement and showcases work that they are proud of. Portfolio folders are assessed annually by the Director of People Development, with feedback given with regards to content and areas for further development.

Good practice is shared across the team in the spirit of our ‘teachers and learners’ ethos.

CPD and T&C Log.

All business consultants across the business keep a CPD and T&C Log. This provides details of their professional development and ensures that they meet the required commitment of 35 hours of CPD, as well as the requirements for training and compliance. This is monitored by the Director of People Development and the Head of Risk and Governance.

Young Learners’ Programme.

As an Investor in People employer, we are fully committed to developing people at every stage on the career journey. We are also committed to supporting our wider and local community and, as such, have devised our own Young Learners’ Programme.

This is essentially a programme designed to welcome young people from local schools and colleges into the business for work experience, to support possible interns and apprentices and to also offer ‘taster’ days for people interested in pursuing a career in financial services and/or at Brightstar.

This programme is led by one of our Learning Champions and some successful placements have led to subsequent offers of employment.

The MTF Greenhouse.

The MTF Greenhouse is located in our Head Office at Billericay and is a carefully designed, bespoke area that is dedicated to people development activities. These include training, coaching, meetings, studying and professional reading. It aims to provide an area where every member of staff is given the opportunity to reach their full potential, while working in an inviting and professional environment.
