The funding was arranged to refinance the existing mortgage and provide a settlement to her ex-partner, allowing her to retain control of the property and position it for sale at full market value.
Although the case was straightforward from a lending perspective, it was an emotionally sensitive situation, as the property had been the client’s family home for many years. A careful and understanding approach was essential to ensure the client could repay both her ex-husband and existing lender, ultimately preventing the risk of the property being forced to auction.
